Ra 0.02μm is the conventional high-gloss floor - for higher-grade surface precision, we also have real verified data.
Surface-Finishing Capability| Grade | Ra Value | Note |
|---|---|---|
| High-gloss mirror finish | 0.02-0.03μm | achievable after ball-mill polishing |
| Fine matte | 0.1-0.4μm | — |
| Industrial matte | 0.4-1.6μm | as-sintered, shipped directly |
Ra 0.02–0.03μm is the practical ceiling of standard ball-mill/tumble-polishing processes. For applications with extreme surface requirements, we've also developed a more refined proprietary polishing process — measured data shows parts finished this way can reliably reach nanometer-scale surface roughness (Sq, areal RMS roughness, approximately 2.4–3.6nm). This is an independent, higher-tier option alongside our standard process, not a revision of the Ra figures above.
