Total dimensions: 78, pass rate 98.7%; the sole NG was an overall span dimension (nominal 28.5mm, tolerance ±0.05mm). ±0.12mm-tolerance dimensions (75): average range 0.028mm, averaging 11.7% of the tolerance band.SOURCE: CMM INSPECTION REPORT · BATCH 1

Total dimensions: 74, pass rate 100%, zero NG. ±0.025mm precision features (17): average range 0.019mm, 38% of the tolerance band. ±0.12mm standard features: average range 0.05-0.07mm, roughly 30% of the tolerance band.

An Honest Account of the One NG Case

One overall span dimension (nominal 28.5mm, tolerance ±0.05mm) showed a systematic deviation as-molded by CIM, and was corrected with post-processing grinding. This shows that ±0.05mm on an overall span dimension cannot be reliably guaranteed by CIM molding alone - it needs CNC post-processing as a supplement. This is a real reflection of the boundary of the process's capability, not a process failure.
