Black Zirconia High-Gloss Part

Ceramic injection molding reference component

Difficulty: the TZ-Black colorant and the base zirconia have systematically different sintering behavior, making batch-to-batch color consistency hard to control, and requiring an independent mold-scale factor and process-parameter set - it can't share a mold with white zirconia. Black zirconia powder's color stability is also weaker, so high-gloss mirror finishes readily reveal sink marks, pinholes, color stains, or scratches.

Solution: a standardized black-zirconia material system paired with precise sintering-process control keeps batch-to-batch color variation within an engineering-acceptable range; upfront Moldflow simulation avoids sink, weld, and trapped-air defects; Ra 0.02μm gloss achieved via ball-mill polishing.

Customer value: black zirconia high-gloss parts can be produced stably at volume, meeting both color and dimensional requirements for premium products, combining ceramic's strength and wear resistance with a high-end mirror finish.
